Much about the menopause transition is still unknown, but we do know that treating the symptoms of this stage of life can greatly improve a woman's quality of living.
The current medical management of menopause is oriented toward alleviation of the worst symptoms: hot flashes, flushing, and vaginal atrophy. However, despite these treatments, there are several coexisting problems that require individualized attention: insomnia, anxiety and depression, fatigue, irritability, poor concentration, headaches, heart palpitations, decreased libido, difficulty with concentration and memory, and various somatic manifestations (eg. vertigo).
