Gynae scanning is a new way to help prevent cancer of the womb (uterus). It uses fast, accurate and pain free screening from 1 week to 6 weeks after your period is due. Gynae scanning aims to find any unusual lumps in the womb that could be early signs of cancer. It is perfect for women who are more at risk of womb cancer, eg if you had womb cancer before or have strong family history of womb cancer.
